Brief Summary of Our First 10 Years
We aim to realise things that people wish for. We push the technology and we establish what is possible. Schools This challenging area has been the mainstay of our work since 2001. During this time we have pioneered innovative edicational videoconferencing into the classrooms of Scottish Schools. Some of our achievements include:
- Advanced Cluster Work at Wester Hailes Education Centre – linking all primaries and providing a breakout to link with other schools in Scotland for 2020
- Edinburgh schools work – first primary school in Edinburgh to be in a multi-point conference
- HMIE report specifically mentioned “Classroom Without Walls” in a 3 gold star report to Dean Park Primary school
- Major presentations of the Edinburgh primary school work at E-live and the Scottish Learning Festival

- Links between Art Galleries and Museums directly into secondary and primary schools
- Links between parliament, civil service and pupils at schools
- Equipment suggestions for Glasgow Schools
- Installation of equipment at all of Glasgow’s 29 secondary schools
- Technical Training for school support staff
- Professional Training for Teachers
- Advanced project work from schools to real-world places of employment, reports of this work all accepted by European Schools Network, all teachers invited to Finlan to make presentation of their work

Any organisation is a community. Any neighbourhood, any church congregation, any school, any local authority. We work closely with the requirements of the community. We work with and demonstrate how videoconferencing can support its goals, and, if required, how we can push the boundaries of community contact using videoconferencing and its attendant ICT technologies. |
